Fibromyalgia Treatment.
Fibromyalgia is a syndrome that can involve many different symptoms. It
is not well understood and many people with this condition have tried various
treatments to cope with the discomfort and stress it can cause. There are
various techniques that I use to help people who have this syndrome. I
understand that relief is needed and relaxation is crucial. Living with
any chronic condition can be stressful. Reducing stress is a key factor in
treating this condition. The commonly used techniques used for deep tissue
massage can actually hurt the tissue involved with Fibromyalgia. It helps
that I am actually able to feel it in the tissue and adjust the pressure
accordingly. Furthermore, there are many techniques that can loosen the
tissue involved and are deep tissue techniques but I use those techniques in
such a way not to traumatize the tissue and cause more pain.
Some people believe that soreness after massage is normal. I don't
think so. This is not a training session for your muscles. After
massage you should feel a sense of relief and rest. If you have
Fibromyalgia, you need it! Because Fibromyalgia is not well understood, I
can only recommend that you pick up a book called "What Your Doctor May Not Tell
You About Fibromyalgia", by Dr. St. Amand. He is doing new research in
this field funded by the City Of Hope. This book can be most helpful.
If you are on the guaifenesin protocol, I definitely want to hear from you.
I am thinking of creating a local support group. I want to start mapping
for people who need it.
I can work with you. I can give you a package deal to reduce the cost
of your massage. I can give you shorter, less expensive massages for quick
relief.
I use hot towels, cold compresses, and various types of massage techniques to
reduce pain and induce relaxation.
There are many conditions associated with Fibromyalgia. Some of these
conditions are TMJ, neck pain, foot pain and many more. So if you need
help, call now and get some relief.
